U-Pick Flowers

We’ve got a great local u-pick cutting garden, Sunshine Crafts and Flowers. I’ve used it for a number of weddings and it’s a great cost-saving and fun option. You never know quite what flowers will be blooming until you get there.
The peonies are going crazy right now due to our cold weather. I took my nieces with me today on a girls’ outing and we had a blast. Amara let us know that her flower was just like Rapunzel’s and Madeline (the older one) was carefully selecting each blossom, removing leaves, happily posing for loads of pictures, and helping Amara.

Love Yellow

I used this photo in an inspiration board, but I just love the combo of the yellow flowers with that seafoam green/blue dress so it’s getting it’s own post! There’s something that is so incredibly eye catching and cheery about bunches of yellow flowers! Just makes me smile.

Katie choose a deep eggplant for her main color and accented with pinks, whites, and oranges.
I used lilies, roses, lisianthus, larkspur, dubium, bupluerum, dendrobium orchids, stock, and spray roses.
Here’s the inspiration board for it.

They featured an ice cream bar with delicious Ferdinand’s Ice Cream and all sorts of toppings – such fun!  I’m a sucker for sprinkles!
Congrats Steven and Katie!

Ifong Chen Photography

Ifong Chen shot Rosie’s wedding and did an incredible job!  Head over here to see more pictures from her wedding.

You can see in the background the wrap on Rosie’s bouquet.  She gave me a handkerchief from her grandmother to put around the flowers.  I LOVE those subtle details that make things extra special and memorable!

Rosie herself is an extremely talented photographer and I highly recommend her!
